Spring Vouz 2005 Announcement!!

The date for the 2005 Spring Vous has been announced by FOTF and Brigade Commander John Elmore. Be sure to mark Saturday April 16th, 2005 on your calendars! This is the day that CLR Frontiersmen will be completing the new frontiersmen cabin/homestead.

Chuck Howard, the ranger, and BC John Elmore are carefully outlining the tasks that need accomplished that day. Included are: putting 3-4 more layers of logs on the cabin, attaching rafters once the cabin structure is completed, and attaching cedar shingles to the rafters to complete the roof. Thanks to the hard work of volunteers, CLR has already had many squares of cedar shingles donated for the cabin (If anyone knows of any places to get more cedar shingles donated, please contact FOTF).

The goal of this workday is to complete all the tasks outlined, and have the cabin ready for CLR 2005. We would like to extend an invitation to all frontiersmen to attend this spring rendezvous completely dedicated to working toward the completion of this cabin. Due to the magnitude of the tasks, we need as many frontiersmen as possible to come out and help on this day. It will be a great opportunity for friendship, fellowship, and service to the CLR frontiersman program.

Saturday the 16th we will be working all day from 9-5. You can show up Saturday morning or come out Friday night the 15th and stay the night at camp before the workday. BC John Elmore will be at CLR Friday night for fellowship and a campfire. Everyone will disband after the work is over late Saturday afternoon. The format for the weekend is the same as we have done in the past—bring your own food. Only primitive cooking will be available so bread, cheese, pepperoni, summer sausage, and simple foods are good to bring.

We look forward to completing the cabin for the betterment of the program. Come out and help finish up the cabin!
